Born to father Sadhu Ram Damai and mother Man Kumari Damini on February 22, 1982 in Hazaria VDC of Sarlahi district, Shiva Pariyar’s musical journey began in 1994.
Shiva Pariyar represented his school Shri Sharaswati Secondary, Hazaria, Sarlahi in his participation in the district level children’s song competition in 1994 where he was awarded the winner of the competition. He then began performing children’s songs in many more musical programs. Already a widely admired performer, Shiva Pariyar was winner of the district level children’s song competition again in 1996. He further participated in National level competitions and was able to win hearts across the country.
Completing the School leaving certificate examination in 1999 from Sharaswati Secondary School, Sharlahi, Hajaria, Shiva Pariyar’s heart lay in furthering his musical passion and thus began classical singing study under the Patronage of revered Guru Chandan Kumar Shrestha, finessing his knowledge in Gwalior Gharana of classical music until 2007.
Shiva Pariyar was also taught by Guru Rabin Shrestha for nearly 4 years in the art of Tabla classical music and by Rajkumar Malakar in a year long guitar playing. Shiva Pariyar has successfully attained the Prayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad India's Board of Examination of B Music and is currently studying M Music with revered Chandan Kumar Shrestha.
As much as his in-depth knowledge in Classical music, Shiva Pariyar is also one of the versatile singers and has contributed to various arenas in Nepali music industry such as movie playback singing, devotional songs, contemporary songs, folk songs. He has also been taught by Upendra Lal Singh in the art of Piano playing in Western music. 
Shiva Pariyar today is an accomplished singer, composer, producer in the Nepali music industry and has risen to this stature because of his talent, dedication, and sheer hard work and focus without any family legacy in the musical world.
Shiva Pariyar has sung more than 300 songs in his 22-year musical journey so far and has released 10 music collection albums in the Nepali language with 5 musical albums in his own composition. 
The first solo musical collection album, Moksha was released in 2005. His widely popular musical albums Shwyam, Kadambini, Kya Dami, Phateko Man, Pagal, Kathale Mage Pachhi, Only You Meri Sathi, Tadhako Sathi, and Shiva Book are listened by music lovers with craze. Currently, he is compiling his 11th music album Shivalaya some songs of which has aleardy been released through digital platforms. 
Shiva Pariyar is married to his loving wife Sunita Koushal and they have a daughter Suhana Ranapal  and the family lives happily in Pepsicola, Kathmandu, Nepal.
